I would. That's a big, big selling point when a man/woman is running for mayor. It's easy enough for an opponent to discredit that. But solved cases really aren't the deal buster anyway. It's crime rate statistics that people are most interested in.
That probably would not be a selling point for Renard as Mayor. There's no evidence crime was going down under his watch as precinct captain.
