Regardless of all the online polls you can point to, the fact remains that Nick and Juliette had been through thick and thin for three and a half years by the time Juliette turned into a Hexenbiest. That kind of relationship should have withstood the instinctual racial hatred a Grimm and a Hexenbiest would have normally had for each other. But it didn't, because the writers wanted Nick with Adalind, and to hell with anyone who suggested it didn't make any sense from the perspective of the characters. Normally I can overlook those kind of plot holes if the story's good enough, but this particular narrative manipulation was especially hurtful and cruel, if only because we had to watch a romance developed for three seasons disintegrate. And if you dare to flip out the "That's reality/life!" card, you're just using cheap nihilism as an excuse for lazy scriptwriting.
I don't write "Grimm" fanfiction. I write about what REALLY happened. Sure, I can write it badly, but at least I make an effort to treat the characters with a modicum of respect. What the writers did on the show was fanfiction, and dreary misery-porn fanfiction at that.
