Thanks for the references, New Guy. Very interesting reading, I didn't know that the tradition of placing something over the eyes of the dead was so widespread. But it did remind me that I have come across the practice of putting pennies on the eyes to pay the boatman who ferries the dead over the River Styx before.
The Tax Man comparison was a complete surprise. But it's a good one; especially the lyrics to the Beatles' song, really clever.
Don't remind me - I have to get started on collecting all the stuff for our accountant soon; just hate that task!
