I beg to differ. You're not getting it at all. Please allow me to explain. I don't hate Nick. I'm just trying to figure out exactly what he is.
I read all of these posts that state what a great guy he is, how he's defeated all of these wesen, how he's helped Monroe, he's made friends with Bud, he saved Trubel, he got rid of Juliette, he saved the frog girl, etc, etc, etc. These are just a few examples. The list goes on and on. So is Nick a Grimm or a detective?
He's also corrupted every individual he's come in contact with from Juliette to Monroe to Wu to gentle peace loving Bud. Even the frog girl has been corrupted. As I know you're completely skeptical about what I'm saying, let me point out an example to you, using Monroe. Monroe made conscious decision to be a law abiding citizen well before he came in contact with Nick. And from all appearances, he succeeded. After Nick? Not so law abiding. Monroe's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. The list goes on and on. So is Nick a Grimm or a detective?
Please don't try to explain to me that this is complicated or ask me dumb questions like, "well how's he supposed to explain a wesen to a judge?" or "what else could he do but kill Juliette?"
Can Nick be faithful to the Grimm tradition without being unfaithful to the Portland PD? Can he make amends, persevere to live by his Portland PD oath and still follow the Grimm traditions?
You tell me, what is Nick? Is he a Grimm or a detective?
