Their maturity has come a long way, so this present moment, as they are together, they will be ready to tackle the situation. The one thing new to them both is the trust issue, but they are working on it and I believe in S6 this area becomes brighter. But when it come to threats to thier family, they are ready for it. Both of them will not allow other forces to hurt them. They are aware of the dangers thier world can do, so as long as they both be together, they can become unstopable. That is a romantic notion of the characters being able to overcome adversity. But you have never seen that in any of the characters. Juliette is a good example, they did not deal with the threats. The treats is what broke them apart. It was the treats that where used to remove Juliette so they could put Adalind with Nick. At the end of season 5 Nick and Adalind had reached the point of lack of trust and dealing threats. It would make no sense to resolve this situation when at no other time have the situations have been resolved.
Regarding Julietter, that was/is over. She could not handle it then and now she has a lot on her plate to handle. Her story line is over. I can understand that.
Regarding Adalind, there is one thing both have to sort out, and it is trust. They have trust but not 100%. And this is because of what they both went through. She too lost hope trusting others in former season like he did too. This is what I believe S6 should conclude.
As per Threat, this they will always expect. They have children, 1 who is Diana that is extremely powerful, and they expect Kelly to be something else. They are aware of this and there will be ups and downs. It is how they handle the situation together that counts.
Apart from the trust if not handled maturely, after everything they both have been through, I do not see any reasons why they cannot be a together as a family.
But if the showrunners and producers want to make them both seperate, then all 5 seasons of Nick's belief and principle of not repeating what he went through as a child and following the steps of his ancestors will just a sad and a joke and a throw away of a once good show. Likewise Adalind too. She too has her own dreams for 5 seasons.
It is just how I see it.
