Hi, Hell Rell. I've never encountered the Old Gods lore about the Direwolves and the Starks, but it is just so right. Because it gives me more hope that those direwolves won't be left out of the outcome of the struggle. It's been long enough ago that I saw the GOT episodes that I'd forgotten about Sam's connection to Ghost. But in my mind Jon will always be his first loyalty. And that's as it should be, imo. Gotta love a dog with red eyes.
All of the intrigue and treachery surrounding the fight for dominance over Westeros is going to be sidelined, even the return of Dany to reclaim her throne, during this upcoming season. In its place will be the need for the combined forces of all humanity to face the coming menace. Wouldn't it be hilarious, and just like Martin, to have the White Walkers smite them all; not even one tin soldier left on the field to ride away? I need help, I know.
