It was still an unfair position to put Nick in because they know what the assumption is going to be when Juliette said he slept with Adalind. I don't think it was Juliette that explained but Nick. I thought she stayed silent after making that statement. It was Nick who said it wasn't what they think then said it wasn't Adalind which was followed by a skeptical "Oh, no?" from Rosalee. Nick would go on to say Adalind somehow made herself look like Juliette and that is what prompted Rosalee to figure out what was going on. The only thing Juliette did during this time was have a shrug that could mean a number of things. I thought it was kind of a "yeah, whatever" shrug but that's up for debate. I thought Juliette handled things much better later that night once Monroe and Rosalee had left.
Honestly, Nick and Juliette typically don't handle things well when the other is the victim of a spell. Nick wasn't too great when he confronted Juliette about lusting after Renard when it was clear it was a side-effect of the cat-scratch.
