That's a slap into the Nickliette faces - it would be better if they would have let it open and we could have make our own imagination who did he choice...
Thank you Juliette, that's what makes me so furious again.
Of all women in the town Nick was forced to choise. Nevertheless she will just remain as the runner-up even if the writers want to make us belief different...
I started to write a response to this and had to turn around and delete it to start all over again.
I believe it was syscrash who theorized that perhaps Nick died or left and so he's not with Adalind at the end. I myself don't buy that, I think they ended up together, but I want to throw out something for thought.
Izzy brought up earlier in the thread that Juliette may not have loved Nick but felt sorry for him, and so her mothering instinct kicked in and they ended up together. One fine day, she awoke to find it was not a man she was sleeping with but a little boy who's never going to grow up. And so she outgrew him and made it plain she was never coming back, imo.
If that's the case, did Nick realize he was never going to change and so, was not going to amount to a worthwhile challenge to any woman? So he chose Adalind because he was never ever going to get anyone else and she was there? Was Adalind content to settle for less? You have to wonder about Nick and Adalind because look at how things stayed the same 20 years later.
I can't say things turned out for the best.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
