First there was his parting with Adalind and Kelly, then him saying Renard is protecting the family when he's the one out there trying to stop Zerstorer from finding them.
As for how Zerstorer got the staff, it was supposedly broken into 100 pieces and scattered around the world to keep it out of the wrong hands. Which suggests that over the centuries 99 other sticks were found and used (or misused) by people who subsequently got too close to a mirror.
Zerstorer does not seems very knowledgable about our world. How would Diana and baby Kelly fit in the story of someone using the stick? Nick and Diana are not related so why did when Nick, Monroe and Eve use the stick select Diana as the child bride or baby Kelly to be eaten?
In science fiction or sci fiction/fantasy mix, these prophecy stories often turn out to be time travel related.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
