And speaking of senses of humor, it must have skipped a generation with Trubel; she totally doesn't have one (understandable considering her past, though). But she seems to be lightening up a little with the perennial sullen expression, so that's progress. @busyizzy: I want to see more of the Captain, too.

I liked the episode. Less tension so I was left feeling like it was a weak episode, but only because it came after a huge climax, not because it was lacking. The Wesen of the week storyline as many of you pointed out wasn't that original, but points for the mom twist and the character of Clay.
I loved that we got to discover a bit more info on what makes Grimms different from other human beings. I think I like how Juliette is handling this non-Grimm situation. At first I thought she'd push him to stay normal, but I'm now thinking she's actually trying not to steer him either way and giving Nick time to figure it out. Even her going to Rosalee and Monroe I think was mostly motivated by her not wanting him to be pushed into something he might not want. Can't wait for Nick to have some kind of epiphany and realize he actually wants to be a Grimm. (11-08-2014, 04:18 AM)Lou Wrote: In the quibble department. Chavez is not a very good sales woman. She didn't give much info to Trubel to think about. I know Trubel was just glad to get out of there but still. "Don't i get a brochure?" Do you have a web site? Some references? what about a mission statement?" I want all those things before I join a super secret organization.LOL, if she wasn't hiding it from them, that would so totally be her answer! I agree with you about Chavez. Too little info. Definitely not motivation enough to join. Sadly, I think Trubel might fall for it anyway. If only because she's been feeling like she's imposing on Nick ever since he took her under his wing and is probably only sticking around because by helping him, she feels like she's repaying him. I'm also afraid his big brother attitude might start to grate on her. On some level she appreciates it because he's the first person she's been able to trust in forever, but on another level she's used to being on her own and might get tired of it. I know that one of the big complaints many of you have regarding Trubel is that it seems like she's trying to show Nick up and she's a rebel who doesn't do what she's told. Now I can see how that may come across as that being the case but I recently read an interview with Jacqueline Toboni who plays Trubel and she had a different take on the situation that I thought was interesting. She said that the reason she tries to go above and beyond to help Nick and Hank out in there investigation is because she feels like she's been mooching off Nick for a while by staying at his house and learning from him and now she has this grand opportunity to pay him back. If you really think about it, it makes sense. She's not disobeying him because she doesn't respect him she's disobeying him because she wants to help him out.It makes sense. That was exactly my impression of her motives. She even said she wanted to leave at the end of season two for that exact reason and only ended up staying because of the mess that followed. As many of you I'm a little annoyed by Adalind's apparent dumbness lately. I thought she was done crying. I understand motherhood did a bit of a number on her as it would to any woman but I hope to see her getting her wits back soon. Quite enjoyed this episode - I think Trubel may be growing on me at last. I've got to admit that I was a card carrying doubter when she was first introduced. I felt that the dynamic of the show was changed and, if the regulars were the 'Scooby gang', then she was surely Scrappy Doo.
I think the fact that she has her own plot thread developing - and that she hasn't told Nick of the meeting, has finally got my interest. I can see her eventually joining this group, a) as a way to write her out as a regular should the time come, and b) as a good bit of world building, with the possibility of a recurring guest role as contact in another area of the expanding Grimm world.

@Synia: Decapitatrice it is, sorry about that. I also didn't know the term decapitare was a late latin verb in its infinitive form, so I really mangled it! I have much admiration for those who speak more than one language and it helps us to be alerted to the correct usage of terms in a show, such as Grimm, that features them so prominently.

I like this episode. I'd give it a rating of 8 out of ten stars. The bull wessen is a great new creature added into the wessen collection. I really like how Nick is staying grimmless for a while[ that is if he ever gets his powers back]. Truble is keeping secrets from Nick now? I think Bud is going to spill the beans to someone eventually. His character is hilarous. Wish he had more of a role on the show.
It's only a matter of time before Wu figures things out. Oh boy Adaline is returning.

There was a bovine wesen before--I don't remember the name--but it isn't the same. The last one were said to be very brave and often seen on the forefront of battles. This one was said to be very good fighters, but not aggressive or quarrelsome by nature and they had to be severely provoked. While they may be related, they are not the same.
After all, we've seen about six different canine wesen: blutbaden, fuchsbauen, coyotl, hundjaeger, tzachaln, and wildsheern.

No need to apologize, it's not an easy language! Hope I didn't sound nitpicky, I'm just a bit of a nerd (and I'm sure I occasionally do some mangling of my own!) I love that they often feature different languages, even if sometimes they bend them to their will... but I easily forgive them
