This leads me to believe that the Grimms, Wesen and Royals have all had their fingers in the agencies of all stripes and acronyms for a long, long time. So covert factions within those agencies would seem to be a given, what is currently unclear is Chaves's groups motivation. Perhaps next week when Trubel is interrogated we may start to get some inkling.
I've been wondering if it might not be strategically useful to continue to let everyone think Nick remains degrimmed even after he is cured, it makes him appear weak (a tasty piece of bait), that could possibly inducing the other side/sides to make an open play against him, with Trubel in his vicinity all the Wesen assassins deaths that are likely to occur can be reasonably explained away? When you are a Grimm you are too dangerous to be trifled with, but a mere mortal, I can imagine the Verrat arrogance getting the better of them and talking out of turn in front of their prey, or after being handily dealt with by Nick, being induced into telling every thing they know
You are a sneaky, sneaky soul. I like that
The crew could potentially allow if they had decent enough intel, to let dear Prince Victor capture him, take him into the Palace (hopeful whilst King Frederick is visiting). Who knows what fun could ensue with Nick in full Grimm mode inside whilst a coordinated attack by the resistance and Renards' forces take place from the outside. What's the chances they could get more of the keys?
Doctor: You betrayed me … betrayed my trust. You betrayed our friendship, you betrayed everything that I’ve ever stood for. You let me down!
Clara: Then why are you helping me?
Doctor: Why? Do you think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?
