The situation does not match any of the 4 above. I never said you could not ask a friend who happens to be a girl to a wedding. Done it myself. But if you are dating her you had better be ready for her to expect a deeper relationship. You are including her in the most intimate of your friends moments in a place where everyone who knows the couple is 'like' family. IE you are bringing her into your life in a deep meaningful way. I have seen the results of not understanding this a few times among my friends.
You are right if who you are dating is making moves to try and get serious. Do not go to weddings. Instead of getting lucky you will end up in long drawn out serious conversation. But wedding as hookup spots weddings are great. Just remember as a guy you think your getting lucky she thinks great new husband. IMPORTANT don't do this with someone you care about. The wedding move is a getit, hitit and be gone. Our you will have tons of problems.
