With all due respect, I think you're allowing yourself to get carried away here. I can't speak for "real-life people," but in a fictional show where ANY character can go spiraling off in any direction at the drop of a hat, trust becomes impossible between the characters and the viewer. Lin S. probably put it best in another thread:
