Maybe Meisner has done this before, died and come back. Perhaps he's one of the original seven Grimms, died and revived by the stick, and now he keeps coming back from the dead and all these years has been fighting to prevent the royals from getting all seven keys and the stick.
Either that or he was killed by Daleks and revived by somebody's TARDIS core.

That would be very interesting, considering Original Seven Grimm's were way more experienced and possibly very powerful too. I wonder what Meisner will do when he finds out that Stick and Nick are already bound, Maybe Meisner knows effects of stick. Maybe Nick may be the main antagonist using the powers of stick, And possibly Meisner will try to stop him.

Or maybe Nick's ultimate destiny is to overcome the bad influence of the stick and ride off into the mist as Meisner's sidekick...
