Does Nick take everyone else for granted? he does seem to expect his friends/allies to always be there when he needs their help.

I think Nick really does take them for granted. I never once got the impression he thought they wouldn't drop everything they were doing once he asked for their help. It was already known they would since that's a staple of the show but Nick never seemed in doubt.
I remember Nick going to Rosalee to get her to help Adalind make the suppressant and he was acting all nervous and telling her he wouldn't begrudge her if she never spoke to him again but it was laughable. I never believed for a second that he thought she would refuse. There was also the episode where Nick was telling the group about HW. I had the feeling he was leaning towards aligning with HW and almost expected them to follow suit. I think he expected them to make up their minds on the spot and give their allegiance. Nick also always expects Monroe to go undercover at the drop of a dime. Monroe was probably hoping for Rosalee to object on his behalf on a few occasions but that probably would've made the audience dislike her for it.

He definitely did, I don't think it ever occurred to him that his life consumed theirs or if he even cared.

At the end of "The End" when Nick gets everyone back he hugs everyone and we see how thankful Nick is. Nick lost Juliette, mama Kelly and temporarily lost Adalind and baby Kelly in the series because Nick tends to put both being a cop and a grimm over the immediate needs of the people closest to him putting them at great risk. Nick is reactive and not proactive enough to the ones he loves. http://grimm.wikia.com/wiki/Trust_Me_Knot wiki: Inside, Trubel votes to take the SERT officers on, and Monroe blurts out that Rosalee is pregnant, much to her chagrin. Nick is happy for them and apologizes for dragging them into this. Everyone moves to the back of the shop and Nick tells them he's going to turn himself in, but Eve and Trubel tell him he can't.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.

Short answer, yes.

Nick has always thanked the Scoobie gang and that is all that is needed, IMO.

I see this street kind of going both ways. The scoobies also take the fact that Nick would come to their aid if needed. So it was a two way street. I.E. season one he went to Hanks aid even when Hank didn't know about wesen.
He help Rosalee friend Ian escape from the verrat. He went to the aid of Hanks friend and daughter. Now you can say as a police officer this was his job, but being a Grimm help each of these cases. He helped Trubel become a Grimm. So when he needs help looks to me that this is more a two way street where they help him because they know he will help them. |
