But unless the spell is currently dormant and something is going to trigger it, I don’t see how it can still be in play. Adalind has conspired against Renard and made a home with Nick. If the spell wasn’t intended to prevent that from happening, what was it meant to do?
You may have a point about Bonaparte’s arrogance. He may have created a spell that prevented Adalind from defying him, not Renard. And once dead, he no longer existed for Adalind to defy. And he could have only played on Adalind’s fear for her children’s safety. It was enough that he convinced her they’d be harmed. Because the only thing he explicitly told her she couldn’t do was take it off.
During AfterBuzz TV's Grimm 610, the lady claimed one of the Grimm producers tweeted her that they will be tellings us what happen to the ring.
