I said she showed where her loyalties lied in the moment she offered to go after Renard on Nick's behalf, she didn't because Nick told her not to. HW had warned Nick not to do anything stupid because he was emotional over Kelly and Adalind. If he gave her the go ahead, who knows what Trubel would have done for him against HW orders.
Did we see HW give some kind of order to Eve not to do anything? What happened with Nick was very specific. And Eve's mission whatever it was wasn't rescuing Kelly and Adalind which is what Nick wanted so no need to disobey direct order and side with him over HW in that scenario. Nick even gave her that backhanded comment about Kelly not being her son when she told him he was being emotional. She didn't intend to break orders at all unlike Trubel who was ready to, showing up at the loft because she WANTED to be there for Nick in whatever way he needed.
Eve can have whatever loyalties towards Nick, that's not an issue. We've actually seen her act outside HW interest, like when she threatened Adalind because she knew she was getting her powers back. That was more Juliette than Eve, Rosalee even commented on it, I don't deny that Eve's possible wavering loyalty over the course of 5B. I simply disagree about Nick having some sort of loyalty towards Eve when all we've seen from his end is a guy working with the woman that told him she wasn't his ex girlfriend anymore but had a greater mission and purpose in life to stop a great evil from descending into Portland and he respected that even though it was odd and didn't make a lick of sense. Nick is a cop and a Grimm, he's practically mandated to help stop bad guys wherever they pop up, Eve was constantly shown to be the person he worked with and Meisner did a disappearing act for most of 5B as a result of her coming back full time from the dead, but Nick never showed loyalty to her specifically or the group, since he was apprehensive about them the whole season.
You talked about Nick practically dropping everything for her and I dispute that because he'd drop anything even if it was other people calling him as we saw in S5. The first person to call Nick away from the loft was Trubel, the second time it was Eve when he was playing with his son. The third time, she came to him at the station and she wanted to speak to him and Hank together, the fourth time it was so he could watch Renard while she pretended to be him with Rachel and the last time was when she warned him about Adalind. Every other scene they shared together after that wasn't preceeded by a phonecall leading him away from Adalind, he simply walked into HW or was already there.
Whatever great relationship Nick had with Eve didn't play out as you are presenting at least not from Nick's perspective. He found her cold, detached, speaking less words than Kelly, he was uninterested in her sexing Rachel as Renard or any other details of what she did to people to get results. Eve was a colleague that he learned to respect because she got the job done. He saved her life because like I said he's not heartless, she used to be his almost fiance, she saved his life. It would be cruel to let her die knowing that there was a chance to save her life, something that would be so unlike Nick if he actually did it. Yes we definitely see things differently.
