BC never seemed to have any knowledge of or interest in the keys and the Grimm hidden treasure. My guess is that if G&K had the Zerstorer story in mind at all yet in S05 it wasn't ever going to be connected to BC.
I don't know if the royals were ever going to be back. I always hoped they would be. I know that one of the reasons they ended S04 the way they did was that Alexis Denisof was doing another series, but by S06 that series had ended, so Viktor very well could have come back into play.
As far as the royals teaming up with Nick against BC, that was never going to happen. BC was a fan and ratings disaster that cost Grimm 25% of the audience it had had in S04. Even before the end of S05, they knew they had to kill BC as fast as they could when they came back from summer hiatus - if they came back - and then never mention it again.
