Script outlines for an expected 22 episode season would have been in place by the time shooting of the first episode of the season began. And when you consider how much negative feedback G&K got about the season long BC plot in S05 and the ratings drop that season saw, my guess is that most if not all of the nine episodes that weren't shot for S06 would have been more WotW, with the BC ending the same (i.e., as fast as they possibly could) and the Z story sprinkled out more slowly the way the keys were in previous seasons. You were never going to get whole episodes showing what happened to Nick and the scoobies after the big action ending. At most, there might have been a full Act IV at the end of the finale episode.
Agree. IMO, after the enduring saga we had to put up with the “Coma Season”. I think the writers learned their lesson and started to speed up the mini plots to 3 to 5 episodes. Nick loosing hid Grimm, getting it back, Zombies Attack, Juliette goes dark. Are good examples how they started to speed things up instead of dragging things out to extremes. That’s why, IMO, the BC and “Z” episodes would not have been stretched out.
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
