They have a long history (not unknown to Juliette) of killing people that stood in their way. Even if she couldn't read minds, she had plenty of time to go downstairs and help the woman that had been kind to her since they met but Juliette just hid in the bedroom, waited until it was all over before walking downstairs to grab Diana herself and hand her over to Kenneth, and I'm only speaking about Kelly alone. What about the neighbours who were innocent in all of this? why even bring them into this? That wasn't Kenneth’s doing that was Juliette giving away vital information to people who would kill just to get Diana, what did she think was going to happen to all of those people that she rendered vulnerable before the Royals by giving away their routines as well as who lived where, with whom? She sold out her neighbours willingly as a means to trap Kelly, nobody asked her to do it.(06-30-2017, 11:31 PM)rpmaluki Wrote:(06-30-2017, 11:08 PM)dicappatore Wrote: Mason never touched any of the victims. He was just doing the planning and was there directing the killers. I am sure he is not sane. He is still in jail. If they investigate him and found his past filled with traumatic experiences should he have been released into society? It's the argument I have seen people make for Grant Ward from Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. That since since he had a traumatic childhood it negated all the murder and mayhem he committed as a Hydra terrorist.
Juliette was a hexenbiest for weeks without any problems other than her irrational fear of Nick her long term boyfriend. Everything she did when Nick couldn't kiss her hexenbiest face was a conscious decision to destroy Nick. If the hexenbiest "made" her do it, then why wasn't it instantaneous after her transformation? She acted like a woman scorned and liked the power that came with the hexenbiest. Her having a death wish at the end was her guilt catching up with her over the deaths she helped cause, her almost killing his best friend while using Nick as the murder weapon, that's not a sign of someone going clinically insane. It's someone who let their anger, bitterness and resentment get the best of them.
Aren't crimes of passion such as murder sometimes reduced to manslaughter because of sudden strong impulse such as sudden rage? But Juliette went beyond that into premeditation by burning the trailer, sending the email, planning several house break-ins of her surrounding neighbours, waiting upstairs while they attacked Nick's mother. Can she really be called insane at this stage? She escalated her crimes and there wasn't anyone prodding her and telling her what to do.
We're only human - we can only address so much in each post.
Only if Juliette could read minds would she have known ANY of the details of what Kenneth and Rispoli had planned! It isn't shown on the screen - no conversations between the three of them about the details, so why do some of you seem to imagine them and put them out as facts? A whole lot of what you just said above, is sheer fantasy and imaginings on your part. Certain forum members seem to hold every other member to a higher standard than yourselves.
Of course, anyone who's done what Mason did belongs securely placed. Does anyone here believe he should've gotten the death penalty or what he has now? At what point would a person earn the death penalty, if ever?
I don't believe in the death penalty, appropriate and lengthy incarceration is good enough for me.
Edit:
Juliette burnt the trailer, went home and sent Kelly the email about Nick being in trouble because Kelly would never set foot in Portland for anything less, gave detailed information of her surrounding neighbours that was used to set a trap for Kelly. She waited upstairs upstairs while they attacked Nick's mother.
