Adalind’s over the top fear of the suppressant wearing off also continued to support S4 alluding to the Hexenbiest at least partially influencing Juliette’s aggressive behavior.
And most definitely, it injected the appearance of fear and distrust into the budding relationship. Even Renard later urged Adalind to see the situation realistically, reminding her that Nick didn’t react kindly to the last Hexenbiest he lived with. He was using it to further his own agenda, but that he used it at all indicated the theory held weight. I thought Adalind’s panic over being a Hexenbiest again coupled with Nick fearing she’d take his stick but not his son made them both look stupid.
I found Juliette boring too, Henry, but I also found Adalind boring in S5 & S6. It’s not as much about the character as it is that there’s just not much for the love interest to do. Her storyline is just that - the central character’s love interest. Also agree that Juliette could be annoying and whiny, and often thought she should either reconcile with her decision to stay with Nick or just leave and make a better life for herself.
