We wouldn't have much of a show if it were any easy task of getting the key from Nick, but I do believe that is the main reason why they're after him. Which is not to say whether the Royals do or do not know of the whereabouts of the other two keys, that was just an idea because of the documents in Eric's drawer (they may have been just props to show what kind of paperwork was in the empty folder.)
They might be hidden somewhere difficult to get to (there are some pretty inaccessible parts of the planet, after all); and the Grimms may have set up false leads. Perhaps there was a Grimm on the Titanic or the Lusitania and at least one key is on the bottom of the sea!
Absolutely, Elkhound, an act of nature could certainly account for one or both of the remaining keys to be lost forever - what a let down that would be! Let us hope nothing like that is in store; I'd be sorely disappointed .
And for sure the other two keys will be difficult to get, but having four of them and knowing the location of the fifth is putting the royal families too close for comfort in my book. It's puzzling to me that we are this far into the third season and basically no attention has been paid to the keys. Lots of stuff going on though, so maybe we'll get new information soon.
