Let’s stop there. Are you kidding? Renard joined a terrorist organization, held Nick’s son and girlfriend hostage, and told Nick in the same office a few days earlier that the only way for “true progress” was the killing non-wesen. He tried to bribe Nick to join BC by saying he could have whatever he wanted and when that didn’t work, used the police force in an attempt to kill Nick. So, tell me, how was Nick “completely out of line”? Didn't he show Renard enough respect?
Well...let's keep going there for a moment. It was Nick who wanted his job back and wanted to work for Renard. I can't speak for anyone else but most people don't show a smart-assed mouth to a boss who could literally (and within the confines of the profession) make Nick's life on the job a living hell. You can't argue that Nick didn't hate Renard. That is obvious. Likewise, you can't argue that Renard didn't hate Nick. Also obvious.
So you can carry on about what Renard did, but it all comes down to one thing.....Nick works *for* him.
No. If Renard didn’t stick to his part of the bargain, Nick would turn into Renard and have him act insane in public (That was the threat). It would mean the end to Renard’s career. Nick had also confiscated Renard's laptop with lots of damaging information on it. Renard was a half- wesen, Nick a wesen killer who had very good reasons to want him dead. If he could not stop Nick with BC on his side, what would make him think he had any change alone? Renard had no clue how Nick killed all the wesen cops in at the loft and just stood up after he was shoot. Nick was also living with the mother of his daughter, who already hated Renard and had the biggest influence on Diana. All she could do was tell Diana how Renard did not lift a finger when Bonaparte choked her. Renard was evil, but not stupid. If he tried to do anything, it would either mean the end to his career or life.
