I see people making a false assumption about Adalind. With Adalind even when she seemed to have no choices. or When others where calling the shots. She made sure she took advantage of the opportunity. Making sure it benefited her. This is no more evident then her plan to get her powers back. There was a lot of pieces she had to pull off to make that happen. Even the victor event. Yes her actions where based on a false assumption. Thinking Victor had Diana. Her plan was really ambitious. Not only did she achieve her goal. She got to stick it to Nick and Juliette. Even when others seemed to have all the power, as in when she was at the mansion. She played the game to get what she wanted, her daughter.
What I see is people see Adalind as the antagonist so that means she is weak, under the control of others. Even though she is always shown being given a goal instead of a task. Does Adalind turn to others when she is in need, yes. But every time it is a calculated approach. It is always with terms that benefit her. Even when she ran to Eric. we saw she was aware of Eric feeling but also stated she saw Eric as a better ally to get the key. This also gave Adalind something to through back at Sean for rejecting her after losing her powers. Which contradicts that argument of, Adalind does what she does because she is a hexenbiest. She wasn't a hexnebiest then and still was being calculating and devious. People say she matured after having Diana but ignore The events of the conception of baby Kelly. People say she wanted a normal life after going to Nick. But dismise the mansion event with she did it for her kids. Even if her action would have been the worst choice unless she had some self interest.
