God said the angel would pass over "every" household that had the blood on the door posts. So you could have some Egyptians saved by simply following after that instruction or some Israelites who weren't by simply ignoring it. In the wilderness, after they left Egypt, God addresses the matter of how they ought to treat those who were not Israelites but were living among them to show that he'd actually saved more than just the children of Israel.
Why did an all powerful, all knowing god need to have humans mark doors with blood to not kill the wrong people? He couldn't figure it out?
Why did a merciful, loving god kill innocent children? The vast majority of them with parents who could not influence the Israelites situation in any way.
Note that I don't believe any of this happened. There is no historical evidence for any of it. I just enjoy watching theists, who are supposed to believe in it, try to justify the barbaric and immoral actions of their god.
What I enjoy, is watching atheists get their panties all ruffled up and tied into knots about something they don't believe in.
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
