I don’t understand how Renard or Nick corrupted others, at the precinct or in their personal lives. No one was coerced or tricked into anything he/she didn’t chose to do.
Nick as good and Renard as evil fits the show’s concept of good vs. evil within the fictional Grimm/Wesen world. The Grimm character was designed as the force of good, defender of innocent against evil Wesen. Not evil in general, I don’t recall Nick having any cases that humans were arrested for murderer. The only exception to the Grimm vs. Wesen format was the Royals, who employed Wesen as soldiers and bodyguards.
