Adalind never determined to redeem herself by doing good deeds. She wanted to be a good mother, everything else just happened on its own, like her feelings for Nick and helping him on occasion. Diana didn't save Eve. She just told Adalind Eve was in the tunnels and Adalind got her weakened self out. She didn't go after Eve because she had two small children to consider and Nick wouldn't let her do it in case there was no coming back. He opted to go because felt he had to.
Adalind didn't do every good deed imaginable but she also never sat back and did nothing either when she could help. Eve was the one who actively fought BC that was her storyline, Adalind was almost always at the loft being a mother because that was her storyline. And on occasion when she could help Nick with whatever he worked on she volunteered helpful information. She helped in the small ways that were made available for her character.she didn't need to be Eve or like one of Nick's scoobies.
