Quote:A question here regarding Renard. By the time Adalind makes the decision to go to the mansion with baby Kelly, Renard has already developed a relationship with his daughter. From all accounts, it was a relationship that was beneficial for her, so he must have shown himself to be a good father, at least to her.Are you forgetting Diana asking if it was Sean that hurt Adalind. Later she had Sean kill Conrad. True Diana tried to have Sean and Adalind together. But her actions also show that might have been for Adalind benefit more then Sean's
Quote:Enter Adalind and baby Kelly. Even at the mansion, Conrad was still a very visible threat to baby Kelly. If Conrad had followed through and tried to harm the baby, would Renard have intervened?Considering how Sean did not intervene when Conrad was killing Adalind. It would be hard to see him intervening for Kelly.
For those that say that Adalind went to the mansion to save Nick and the kids. Remember it was her going to the mansion that sent Nick over the top that resulted in Conrad sending men to kill him and all his friends. the other thing how exactly would being at the mansion protect the kids. At the mansion he had no one to help her. At least at the fome there was Nick , Eve and the rest of the group.
Other then providing a reason for the final showdown. I still wonder why the writers wrote the Adalind going to the mansion storyline. It would be different if once Adalind had got her powers back. Nick was on the fence about what he thought about that. This would have Adalind left with making a choice does she stay with Nick or does she accept she is a hexenbiest and go with Sean and BC. They could have still had her come to her senses , and realize she made a mistake and become a spy paving the way to return to Nick. That story line would have made more sense then making her pathetic by running away.
It seemed like the writers had her go to the mansion for Diana benefit. Yet once she was there. They did nothing to show her presence made any difference. Even something as simple as using Adalind as the one that could control Diana, would have at least provided a reason for her being there. Instead they wrote that Diana did what she wanted regardless of what Adalind said.
To me that storyline seemed really out of place. Everything else had a purpose that moved the story in a certain direction. From Adalind having Kelly. to Juliette becoming a hexenbiest and then becoming Eve. Even the introduction the HW and BC. Without these things it would have been a different story. Adalind the the mansion or not at the mansion would not have changed anything.
