No, it doesn't because Nick was not committed. He wouldn't leave Juliette rotting in jail if he was. Don't forget, he is a corrupt cop and often bends or breaks the law to suit his purposes.
Once again I disagree completely. Nick was in love with Juliette and committed to her even until she "died" in his arms. Juliette however played Nick and Rosalee as fools. Nick did not arrest and jail her. She broke the law. Nick knew she needed to be jailed to prevent more violence. His decision to to keep her in jail was astute as a cop and citizen. Kenneth bailed her out to have her assist his mission of murder and mayhem. Indeed she proved Nick was right.
