I just don't think this situation warrants you're saying. He handled it well enough since Adalind got out unharmed which was the goal. Him prioritizing Juliette's feelings over the safety of his unborn child wasn't the right thing to do regardless of what happened afterwards and that falls on Juliette's shoulders much more than Nick's.
You're so wrapped up in what's best for Adalind that you're only seeing one side of the situation. Nick handled the Adalind side of it as a priority She was appropriately protected from physical harm.
However, he did nothing about Juliette's side of things. You applaud him telling her to get out because because you're making light of her feelings in view of Adalind's unborn child. However, Juliette did not leave a happy camper. She was a p**ssed off ex who happened to be a powerful hexenbiest. That should have been a big red flag to Nick that her feelings could escalate into something dangerous and lethal. Something he might have been able to prevent.
He didn't handle the situation well enough. He mismanaged it and tragedy ensued.
