I didn't need it to be the whole point of the show. The only true love romance I cared for was Snow and David. I bought that relationship hook line and sinker. They ruined Bell and Rumple and everyone else was simply too pedestrian for me to care.(03-29-2017, 10:55 PM)rpmaluki Wrote: I have never forgiven the OuaT writers for killing Baelfire/Neal after reuniting him with his father. Gold orchestrated such an elaborate spell spanning years and two dimensions so he could find his son. I remember looking forward to their interactions and dealing with a lot of hurt and abandonment issues and so much more but nope, they killed him and my love for that show. The season he died, was the last I watched.
Do you think shipping might have affected that?
Personally I didn't care about shipping, I just wanted to see the Bael/Rumple interaction as much as I wanted to see Emma/David and Snow and Snow/Regina interactions. Those were the only relationships I ever cared about when I watched OuaT.
For me OuaT exists because of Rumple and Bael even if Emma is the main character. She's still a byproduct of that father son relationship and without it, they lost me as a viewer.
