Nick has chosen to be with Adalind knowing what she's done and that's that. He's had the opportunity to keep things non-sexual, he has the capacity to change his mind. He can do whatever he wants and he has and clearly that is unacceptable to some and that's okay, I do get it but it still doesn't change what happens on screen.
We might not be able to do anything about what happens on-screen, but we're free to point out why it was a flat-out reprehensible move on the part of the showrunners, and why it contributed to the show's eventual cancellation. Why do you think Bioware added an extended ending to MASS EFFECT 3? Because people told them the original endings were atrocious, and rightly so.
I'm not losing any sleep over this either, but what I do take umbrage with is being told I'm not entitled to my anger, or that the anger I feel is petty and should be dismissed out of hand. That's how hacks get away with writing terrible stories for television and film; by discrediting their critics. You could argue Nick has cuddled up with Adalind and "that's that," but for those of us who have been wanting to like Nick from the beginning of the program, only to see him twisted into a submissive and compliant weenie by the writers, it's not something we can be made to "get over."
