If HW didn't condition Juliette into Eve, Nick could gave been forced to take her out, eventually. Hexenette wasn't in the right frame of mind at the end of season 4, she almost killed him. How long could Nick's love for the his once human girlfriend remain when Hexenette was drunk on power? Nick not questioning HW about what happened to Juliette could be attributed to his grief and that can't really be taken lightly just because he's not concerned over what HW did to Hexenette. He did ask what they did to make her into Eve, he got the abridged version and that's more because the writers themselves didn't have a legitimate arc about Eve's transformation.
Hmm....I don't remember seeing Nick as so terribly grief stricken. There was a few minutes of sobbing over her unconscious body and that was it.
I believe Nick was drugged before he could do anything but shed a few tears and later when he went back home for the address he ran upstairs because he thought he heard her calling him and broke down completely until he realized he couldn't give in to that at that time
I'm not saying he didn't show grief. I'm saying he wasn't terribly grief stricken.

Likewise, HW was just as ambiguous, but what I thought would have made a great storyline was Nick infiltrating HW to find out what happened to Juliette.
I think with a different character you would be right. But I do not see Nick as having the requisite mental agility to pull off a infiltration by what supposedly is a secret squirrel ex-Constitutional organization who,if it existence was known, would land untold members of the Government in jail, lead to a Constitutional crisis and lead to the likely impeachment of the President of the United States. I would tend to think he would be more than just a little vetted. But then I guess the relatively uneducated Truble and the veterinarian trained Juliette were HW great data analysts and chief intelligence officers so maybe I am overstating the case.
He didn't need any mental agility to pull off an infiltration. HW wanted him. It was Nick who didn't come on board with them.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
