Yes, I so agree that women should not be defined by the man they are with. I rather see Nick, Adalind, Sean, Monroe and Rosalee make the changes in their lives putting their children first but of course that might not happen at all. I would like to see the assertive Eve/Juliette who wants to control her life again too.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
