I enjoyed Hank and Wu working a case but the case, victims/suspects were so boring I was anxious for them to wrap it up.
Nick referencing Juliette felt like a it-was-going-to-happen-eventually slip of the tongue. She now thinks, talks, walks, and reacts as Juliette did, the only reason to continue thinking of her as Eve is there’s no bad history with Eve. The group basically has Juliette back without the baggage - a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
To me, Juliette’s mirror time - ‘who were you, who will you become’ sounded more like acceptance than resistance. No longer the powerful and feared HW operative, she is becoming the person who fits the group’s narrative.
Agree that Nick is dealing with guilt and regret that he’s kept buried rather than confront. But his near-panic reaction of Juliette’s hurt and racing to the hospital was so over the top contrived it wasn’t believable. Based on his typical reactions, Nick would have told Rosalee and Monroe to stay with her and he’d get there as soon as he could, then gone off to work his case.
So what’s the next step now that Nick spent an entire day processing the devastating result of his and Juliette’s past? Will there being any signs of it in the remaining episodes?
Is Nick keeping Adalind in the dark because he doesn’t want to risk her and his son getting caught up in his Grimm life and suffering a fate similar to Juliette? Or is he keeping her in the dark because at the end of the day he’s a Grimm first, and Adalind trying to keep her daughter safe might interfere with what he needs to do? A little of both? Grimm first, but determined to protect his son from any fallout?
edited to add:
Wow, almost forgot about the best part - Renard. He’s had the drawings for a day or two and practically up to speed with the others’ research. He is sooo entertaining to watch. Hopefully Nick will bring Renard into the loop and take advantage of his methodical approach and seemingly endless supply of contacts.
