Quote:This is a ridiculous argument not real life because if in real life you sat upstairs in your own home with 3-5 men, who you left your door open for, attacking a women and a child downstairs and you did nothing to stop it it is a prosecutable offense.Where do you get the legal argument from. Where she does have a problem is murder in conjunction with a felony she could get prosecuted on that. What would make that hard is she was not present when the murder occurred. Which means she did not participate. She only contributed in the planing. He leaving the door open is not a crime since it is her house. She has a right to let anyone she wants in.
But she also has a big ace in the hold Kelly had no authority to have custody Diana. So taking Diana from Kelly is not legally kidnapping. She could make an argument she was planing a rescue. A rescue that was initiated by the child's grandfather. Yes there are laws against self help. And yes Kennety escalated it into a felony. But the intent was not a felony. the intent was a relative rescuing their grandchild. The grandfather being a diplomat also increases the problem of prosecuting Juliette because of diplomatic immunity which can be extended to anyone employed by the diplomat. The same reason why Nick had no legal authority to arrest Kenneth for the head in his room.
Regardless of what you may think. The writers where very creative in the way they included Juliette to make sure she was not culpable and maintained a line of defense.
