The problem is that her and Nick wanted different things and the further along the relationship went, the more it became unsustainable, fundamentally. They couldn't last even if they truly loved one another, not without great compromise from both of them. In the end Juliette sacrificed too much while Nick got to enjoy the benefits.(02-12-2017, 10:25 PM)MarylikesGrimm Wrote: Juliette wanted Nick not be a Grimm for a while.
I know this is the Renard thread, but I am curious because this isn't the first time I've read a statement like this. There are a lot of people who lay the big blame on Juliette because she wanted a normal life with Nick. What's wrong with that?

Regarding Nick's mother, I don't blame Juliette for her death. I blame Juliette for the betrayal. Although I have to admit, Juliette must have known just how stupid Kelly would be in that she wouldn't be able to resist coming to the house.

He's very critical of Juliette, isn't he? It makes me think Nick is still very much in love with her. It also makes me wonder if David was ticked off that Nick and Juliette were forced to split.
I think on some level, David and Bitsie aren't happy with their alter egos' separation. They still get to enjoy working together but it's not the same, especially if Nick is suddenly with another woman after years of being the couple on the show and now on the final leg he's happy with some one else despite how little we actually see him with Adalind, the prime instigator of their downfall as a couple. It has to rub them raw just a little.
