Yet while he was saying that Adalind was leaving with Kelly. She did exactly what Eve said Adalind would do. She leaves a note and Nick believes her. She has a cell phone why not call Nick and talk about her choice. Look how many days before she did try and call him. Adalind tells Wu to tell nick she loves him. No call me back or I will call him back. In the game that is hedging your bet.
Why I have trouble accepting Adalind at face value. Because her actions are text book moves when playing someone. It is exactly what you would do when you want to do one thing but keep the door open and make them feel it is their fault. When working to insure you hang on to your ticket. When ever you see opposition you increase your emotional hold. Juliette shows up Adalind declares her feelings with a kiss. Nick is about to leave for Germany she sleeps with him so he has a reason to return. Eve comes over and shows concern for Nick, Adalind again sleeps with Nick to strength her position. Even the lame reason she gave for them sleeping in the same bed. Then the move wearing his shirt.
Also of these are text box suggestions from the players handbook. How would Nick not see her as a gold digger. From the beginning she uses having his child as a way in the door. In the police station when the conversation was working it out. Adalind immediately demanded the opposition had to go. I agree it does seem they want us to see adalind as a changed person. But why do they keep giving use actions framed to be seen as manipulative. Why not have them having sex for a romantic or emotional reason. Or even have them kiss each other because he came home or just because. Nick went to Germany on a mission he might not have returned from. Yet he does not go home first. When he does they feel no need to kiss each other. Monroe and and Rosalee felt a need to kiss.
Adalind only told Nick about the baby to save the baby from Ken pushing Juliette to hurt her baby. She never uses it because it was selfless. She assumed Nick would take Kelly but she loved her baby enough to risk losing him to Nick. Motherhood is not manipulative.
Adalind called Nick after she got there. He left his phone in the station and never tries to call her.
Yes, they have them kiss and hug each other at the loft because he came home or just because in season 5.
Adalind follows others all seasons but 2.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
