So either Adalind's a liar or Claire's a poor actress. But let's say she hates him, so what? She hated Nick too. Now she loves him. In the end, what exactly does her hatred mean?
Adalind is definitely capable of lying if she wants to. But in this case, I think it's just a matter of her trying to be amicable with Sean for Diana's sake. We'll only know if her attitude toward Sean has really improved if we see them interact or her talk about him with others when Diana's not there.
If she's capable of lying, then she could be lying to Nick. In other words she's telling Nick she hates Sean because that's what Nick wants to hear. It doesn't mean it's the truth.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
