At the very least, he should be thinking about what Adalind's offer means. If she goes to prison, her kids are without a constant. He's certainly not going to stay home to take care of them.
But in any case, none of this makes Nick a knight in shining armor compared to scumbag Renard. Both men are at the same level when it comes to viewing Adalind.
However, what separates Renard from Nick is that Renard is part zauerbiest. His idea of love may different than that of Nick. Adalind also seems to me to be not very demonstrative in her attempts to show Nick how much she loves him. She was willing to lie for him, okay fine. But that doesn't put her at a high level either.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
