I like the speculation that at some point the ring’s spell will make Adalind love/be loyal to Renard and betray Nick. G&K love Nick drama, and that would definitely provide Nick with personal drama. Just as he’s warming to the idea of wanting/loving Adalind, and possibly trusting her, she suddenly flip-flops to Renard.
