The one thing about Sean that I found redeeming was that whenever he expressed bitterness about his past, it wasn't just about how the family treated him, but him and his mother. I do believe that if Elizabeth had shown up and said, "Sean, wtf are you doing turning against the people I helped for you the last time I was here? They're the ones you should be with," he would never have made the choices he did.
