What Kouf and Greenwalt had to say about this 'stick'
Greenwalt:... what the stick means and it means a lot religiously, Biblically, mythically in every tradition in every square of the planet. It'll all be explained and answered to tremendous satisfaction, of us, but hopefully of others.

Guess it's meaning will be found in the belief system of the beholder, but all human attempts to explain man's nature converge into a central theme of good vs. evil - going back to the earliest myths in recorded history. For me, that translates into a triumph of good over evil. I am hoping all fans can find some closure that aligns with their individual notions of morality in the end of the series. I'll be crushed if Renard is on the wrong team.

I agree about the stick, just like the nature of Holy Grail. Which has different interpretations for different belief systems.
Goodie on Renard. I agree with your assessment and am wondering if it's BC as a group, or a tangible embodiment of the movement that was created by Eve's encounter with that tatooed dead wesen, the Scoobies will have to face. BC surely must be the obstacle to overcome; confusing, but very entertaining. This is a bit irreverent, but in talking about this subject, I had a flash of Steve Martin's character in the movie "The Jerk" and his 'special purpose'.
The stick has quite a long and bloody history (death stick/elder wand anyone!). I guess individuals and entities will want to get their hands on it, Black Claw included. After all the idea of immortality seems appealing to power hungry people. I suppose that's the big bad side of things.
Basically the scoobies are all damned as a result of this stick because they know where it is and what it does. Good way for the writers to have some folks killed off in the finale as a result rather than another senseless war.
