A let's spend time together and see where it goes maybe, but not a relationship, not a reason for Adalind to move back into the fome permanently.Do you see it differently with Eve?
There isn’t time for Nick & Juliette/Eve to establish a relationship. They could spend time together to see where it might lead. But if their conversations are as empty and useless as Nick & Adalind’s there’s really no point.
To me, Nick & Adalind are a convoluted mess. From Reptile Dysfunction through Star Crossed, Nick & Adalind were closer than I expected so early in the season. I attributed most of it to Juliette’s return, but worried G & K were taking it too far too fast. Then suddenly everything changed without reason. Nick’s going to Germany, Adalind freaks and drops I love you all over the place, they have sex and Nick freaks. From that point on, Nick suddenly didn’t trust Adalind. It’s as though G & K reversed the progression of the ‘relationship’.
Greenwalt said in a interview that he & Kouf realized the story wasn’t going in the direction they intended or they changed their mind about the direction - can’t remember which. And I wonder if some of the editing & rewrites were about Nick/Adalind, and that’s why I see them as a convoluted mess, why the progression feels ass backwards.
