Quote:Nick’s failure to act on information is his own shortcoming as a detective and Grimm. Adalind told him. Meisner, Eve, and Trubel told him. Had Adalind never told him anything, Nick had the necessary information to prevent her from taking Kelly when she left. Nick has been a Grimm for five years. How long will he need to be spoon fed information and led into action?Eve was telling Nick that Adalind could not be trusted. Because Nick trusted Adalind he did not consider that Adalind had been threatened or that she knew where Diana was meaning they had the power to control her. When Eve found out Diana had been taken from the safe house was when she tried to warn Nick that Kelly was in danger and Adalind could not be trusted. He did not take her seriously because he had no indication from Adalind how serious it had gotten. Nick had what he thought was a serious conversation with Adalind and she promised to let him know if Sean contacted her again. He believed her. That was the problem. Had he not trusted Adalind when Eve warned him he might have considered she was in touch with Diana and was planning her exit. But her leaving took him by surprise because he figured she would at least give him some warning. Nick felt he did not need to investigate accusations because Adalind would tell him if there was something he should be concerned about.
That is what I see as being the biggest problem in season 6 he will have with Adalind. Will he still feel she is telling him everything. If Diana is part of the prophecy can he count on Adalind to tell him what is going on. There will be information Adalind will withhold for very it will put Diana in danger. Without the information Nick and the group will suffer the consequences. Just like Adalind withholding information he lost Kelly. This will be the conflict that keeps Nick and Adalind from getting close.
Quote:Adalind’s forthcoming about Meisner and piecemeal information about Renard & Diana have nothing to do with the Hexenbiest returning. Comparing the two is akin to looking for similarities between a turnip and a grape. Before Adalind got her powers back she was completely forth coming about all she knew about Meisner. It is why NIck trusted him. That and he helped save Trubel. After her powers returned she started withholding information. True after her powers returned the information involved Diana and she may have thought she was protecting her. But the show had Adalind make a big deal about the fear of her powers coming back and it making you think differently. Withholding information would show the example of a change in thinking. Since she was forth coming with information.
Quote:By the time Adalind told Nick about Renard & Diana she already knew Meisner/the Resistance had taken Diana from the RoyalsAdalind never told Nick anything about Diana. Nick never know Meisner had anthing to do with Diana or that he was involed to taking her from the helicopter.
Quote:It’s reasonable for her to suspect that Nick had known all along that the Resistance, not the Royals, had Diana, and like Meisner, chose to keep it from her.At no point did the resistance ever have Diana. The resistance had supplied the helicopter that took Diana and the King. But Meisner and HW was in control of the helicopter. She know Nick did not know anything about Diana because she asked him. he said he did not know and he would find out what he could. Even then she failed to tell NIck what Sean had said about Meisner being involved with the helicopter. It is not clear if Juliette knew Meisner was on the helicopter but then Juliette would not have known who Meisner was.
Quote:I will never comprehend the attitude that Adalind should place more value on the safety of Nick & his people or any faction’s ‘greater good’ mission than getting her daughter back. Adalind using whatever means are at her disposal to get to Diana makes sense to me.
This is twice that Adalind using what she thinks is best to get Diana back has turned out bad. The first time she followed Viktor to portland and was cast aside by Kenneth. This time withhold information Diana was taken from HW and is no under to control of BC and Sean. Putting your child first is good if in doing so does not make things worst. Especially if choosing other options would have had a better outcome.
Quote:If the Hexenbiest was calling the shots, Adalind would have willingly gone to BC, reclaimed her daughter, and used BC to annihilate everyone who had conspired to take or keep Diana from her.Noting in the show has ever even implied that is how being a hexenbiest works. That is the opinion of a lot of the comments being made. We have five season of hexenbiest with many example that show being a hexenbiest is like being a wesen. You react on your primal instincts. They have never shown a hexenbiest being psychotic or evil. They seek revenge, as the victim I am sure that would be seen as evil. But the don't do what they do for evil purposes. Every act has had a reason. Evil is to kill someone to watch them die. or to cause pain just to watch them suffer. There has never been a case of that on the show.
Quote:there were plenty of secrets and deceit in the Nick/Juliette relationship.Nick keep secrets from Juliette to protect her. Juliette keep her secret out of fear. At first Nick and Adalind had no secrets. He told her about the keys. She told him about Meisner and his mother. Later Nick had secrets because he did not trust her. Adalind had secrets because she believed she knew best.
Quote:You’re taking one statement from a discussion debating whether Juliette or the Hexenbiest was in control in S4 and reinterpreting it to mean something else. I understand what the writers were doing with Juliette/Eve and was only questioning why Eve might refer to Juliette as the culprit rather than inform that Juliette’s inability to control the Hexenbiest caused catastrophic results.Juliette never had a control problem she was mad and did something about it. It is like someone spilling your drink and you punch them in the face. Thjere area lot of place if dissed any you don't react you will get the crap bet out of you because you will be perceived as weak. Eve was not shifting blame, she was stating that was done in a past life. By a person she was no longer. As Eve she is not motivated by revenge. Like she said to dangerous to go there. Now that she is cured will be interesting if she is angered will she seek revenge.
Quote:Renard and Adalind interaction has always been entertaining and interesting. And a morsel of spunky Adalind at the end of S5 was too little to late. I had expected the show to inflate Nick, not deflate Adalind.I agree Adalind's sassy attitude was missing between Nick and Adalind. The whole time she was with Nick she was overly submissive. Even with asking for his approval to go back to work. That may be why when leaving she left a note instead of confronting him. In season 6 it will be interesting is she still as submissive to Nick.
Quote:Again, you’re taking a statement made in a discussion and making it about something else. Juliette may have learned to control the mechanics of the Hexenbiest’s powers, but we were discussing the guidance system. How much does Eve understand the difference (if there is any) in her ability to control the Hexenbiest’s natural tendencies and Juliette’s.Again you are viewing Juliette's ability to kick ass and take names as a lack of control. Juliettte's and Eve have made it clear pissing them off you do it at your own peril. That is the same will all wesen. They do not over look what they consider an injustice. Where even in the show as a cop Nick feels it is his responsibility to like the system determine justice. Wesen feel, wrong me we kill you. that is their form of justice. They take eye for an eye literally. How many times have we seen Monroe ready to dispense wesen justice.
Quote:Adalind told Nick that Renard knew where Diana was and she feared he would use Diana to force her to do something she wouldn’t want to do. Nick didn’t offer Adalind any assurance that he’d help her get Diana back, keep her safe. He dropped the discussion and went back to sleep. Meisner told Nick that the Resistance had Diana before BC took her. Nick did not go to Adalind with this information. Again, Nick didn’t offer Adalind any assurance that he would help her get Diana from Renard/BC. Nick relied on Eve/HW to keep his son safe and went back to work.Meisner never mentioned to Nick about Diana. had Nick talked to Meisner after talking to Adalind, HW would have known the safe house was at risk. The next day after Nick and Adalind had their talk about Diana. Sean kidnapped her to go see Diana. Yet Adalind did not feel this was information Nick should know. It was after Adalind meet Diana that Eve found out the safe house was raided and Diana was gone. That is when Eve warned Nick. But because Adalind had not said anything. And Eve did not say the safe house was raided. He did not take Eve's warning seriously.
Below is the conversations talking about Diana. There is misrepresentation on Meisner's and Sean parts. Meisner's being vague makes sense he could not tell Sean about HW. Once Sean knew Meisner was with HW, he should have realized HW must be the friends he was talking about.
What I don't understand is people thinking Diana was with the resistance when the show let us know different.
"Good to the Bone"
Adalind: [Whispering] Nick. Nick. You need to wake up.
Nick: What's wrong?
Adalind: I need to tell you something.
Nick: Okay.
Adalind: I talked to Sean Renard.
Nick: Why?
Adalind: He called. He wouldn't tell me on the phone what it was about. He wanted to meet. It's Diana. He said she's with the Resistance.
Nick: Why would he be telling you this now?
Adalind: I don't know. I think he's gonna use Diana to get to me for some reason. I'm sorry. I should have told you sooner.
Nick: We think Renard is working with Black Claw.
Adalind: Are you sure?
Nick: Yeah. But he doesn't know that we know, and, for now, it's better that way.
Adalind: I'm scared.
Nick: If you hear from him again, tell me.
Adalind: Okay.
Lycanthropia remember Sean is misrepresenting what Meisner told him.
Adalind: I've seen him. I know he's here.
Renard: Wait, you've seen him, and he hasn't told you?
Adalind: Told me what?
Renard: He was in the helicopter that night. He killed the King and got Diana.
Adalind: Meisner has Diana?
Renard: I said he got her, not that he has her.
Adalind: Then who does?
Renard: I'm not exactly sure yet. But he told me that she was handed over to the Resistance. Meisner assured me that she was safe.
Adalind: Then you haven't seen her?
Renard: No, but what's important is that our daughter is alive and safe and not with the Royals.
Adalind: I want to see her.
Renard: Well, so do I, but we're gonna have to be patient.
Adalind: I've been patient. I want her back. [She accidentally telekinetically makes a glass slide on the table into her
lostboys here is what Meisner told Sean
Renard: Diana was with him.
Meisner: She's safe. Don't worry; she's with friends. Apparently Viktor wasn't too happy about being replaced by his cousin, Kenneth. None too happy with the King either for doing it.
Renard: So Viktor struck a deal with the Resistance?
Meisner: A little payback. They gave them your daughter—
Renard: And you took care of the King.
Meisner: Let's just say I happened to be on the helicopter at the same time.
Renard: That puts Viktor on the throne.
Meisner: For now. In case you're wondering, they haven't found the helicopter either.
Renard: Where's my daughter? I want to see her.
Meisner: They didn't tell me. I just wanted you to know what I did. [He starts walking towards the door]
Now remember Meisner is with HW. At the time of the conversation Sean did not know that. But by the time Sean talked with Adalind Nick had told Sean Meisner was with HW. True Sean did nto have complete knowledge of the timeline of Meisners actions. He did not see Meisner with eve right after the helicopter. But we know the resistance never had Diana. We also know Sean told Nick that Meisner worked with the resistance.
