I remember her telling Nick that Adalind was afraid of his reaction, but not about Adalind’s fear that the Hexenbiest would change her. But immediately after that they discussed how much, if any, they could trust Adalind now that her Hexenbiest was back and decided to pretend Nick didn’t know so he could watch Adalind for signs of change/betrayal.(12-25-2016, 06:18 PM)Robyn Wrote: This made me think of something else about Eve and trust. I saw toward the end of the season what I considered to be changes in the way Eve reacted to Nick, and wondered if Eve wanted to plant discord between Nick & Adalind by convincing him not to trust Adalind.
Actually Adalind may have inadvertently done this herself when she confided to Rosalee about her hexenbiest's return. She told Rosalee:
"You don't understand what it's like being a Hexenbiest. What it does to you, the way it makes you think and feel."
I was thinking Rosalee was the one who told Nick Adalind's hexenbiest had returned. It's likely she also confided what Adalind herself said about the hexenbiest.

If, as Adalind said, the hexenbiest does things to her and changes the way she thinks and feels, how would she know that? To clarify, does Adalind look back on something she thought about and say, "I would have never thought about this. It must be my hexenbiest"?I don’t know, because the show says one thing then has the characters do something completely different. Your question makes sense to me. How would Adalind know how much the Hexenbiest is influencing her if she’s always been a Hexenbiest except for the brief time after Nick killed hers. I didn’t see a change in Adalind after Nick killed her Hexenbiest, but I saw a change in her after Diana was born, and her new Hexenbiest was active immediately after Diana’s birth. So was Adalind different because of the suppressant used at the end of S4, or already different because of how she felt about Diana and her unborn child. Based on past behavior, I think the change in Adalind was due to wanting a better/calmer life for her children, not temporarily suppressing her Hexenbiest.
Although, and this is nothing more than a disappointment in the character, the suppressant seemed to take away all Adalind's spunk and quick wit. She was rather boring the season she lived with Nick. Being good does not require being boring.
