I was referring to parts no longer in use and blocked off. Which AFAIK, there aren't really all that many of.
The portions of the sewer tunnels in use by the city were retrofitted with mercury vapor lamps years ago. The old style electric lamps and the wide tunnels indicate that these are probably not sewer tunnels.
Would be funny if they finally found an exit and it turned out to be the entrance to the Portland Underground tour in the basement of Hobo's restaurant.
