I was wanting some on screen explanation.I begged to differ..Renard was in the right place.. the FBI agent was given permission to kill Renard from the royals after they had gotten Diana....the FBI agent followed him to Nick's house intending to kill him..... I guess the consequences of this , if Renard had some. He killed his and his mother good friend Henrietta as Jack the Ripper . Henrietta as you know smuggled him and his mother to Portland to safety
@Robyn just because you've got a good reason to kill someone and do, doesn't mean you wanted to do it. Nick wasn't in control of his own actions in that bar fight.
Had Nick not 'killed' the hexenbiest in Adalind, Hank would have died. It wasn't a punishment on Adalind. It was necessary to save Hank's life. As a consequence Adalind was cast out by both her mother and Renard. You are correct that Renard has yet to suffer any consequences for that action. I'd go further an say he's not suffered for any of his actions. When he was killed, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. There was nothing about payback for his crimes.
Judging from the cognitive ability Nick has demonstrated these past 5 seasons, I don't believe he'd ever have made the cut as a homicide detective. Dumbing down the lead character is a device to give others a chance to shine, it's not a plot device I find credible.
In Season 1, when Aunt Marie first brought the trailer round, Nick would slip off every night to study. Juliette pestered him so much , he moved the trailer to a trailer park and that was the end of his study. After that , it was just used to find out what the wesen of the week was and how it could be killed/stopped. I don't believe Juliette has become someone else. I believe she's the ultimate big bad, although the writers are doing at least first rate job in setting Diana up for that role.
I think Zuri did really have some feelings for Hank, but like any good agent, didn't let them get in the way of her mission.I don't thin that Zuri was looking to hurt Hank. The information taken from his phone is intended to lead somewhere, but maintain Zuri's cover. The alternative is that Black Claw knew Zuri would be uncovered and used her to find Hadrian's Wall. Either explanation would work.
Nick had never trusted Renard. Yes, they've worked together, but it's as wary allies rather than trusted friends.
