Monroe was cute all the way through; just like in the old days. Except, of course, how devastated he was over that brutal massacre of his uncle. But he got classic revenge on those two jackals (what kind of wesen?) and that was so appropriate. I think Nick was pleased also and held back a little to let Monroe bring the only justice possible to those monsters to avenge his uncle's murder. He's quite impressive when he gets his Blutbad on.I agree on Renard and Dixon that was the royal in Renard talking, didn't care for it. I was hoping he had grown out of what a royal would do. Guess not.
Eve always refers to Juliette in the third person. Lots of text-book dissociation there. But she said maybe the trunk of Grimm books would make up for the loss of the trailer contents. Something a lit-tle personal in that statement, methinks. She said something similar in the episode before this one, too, can't remember just what.
That trunk. What a treasure trove, you should pardon my pun. The keys, the historical Grimm diaries and books, the Grimm ancestral family trees, those grand old weapons, wow. I didn't catch whether or not the name Kessler was traced back to one of the original seven Grimm Crusade Knights; don't think so yet, but I hope that somehow it can be. They got it all at bargain prices, too. But I was shocked to see that the Royals have at least a couple of fake keys; maybe more. I remember they got the first key from one of the original Grimm Crusade Knights right away - maybe the other three are fake.
This is going to be tense from here on out. The BC wants to rid the world of all Grimms. And, evidently, erase all trace of them from the historical record. Guess that means that they will make a big move against Nick, Trubel and any other Grimms who show up in Portland pretty darn soon.
I'm so impressed with HW's data center; don't know much about such things, but it sure does look like state of the art equipment to me. Makes a person nervous about privacy in the real world.
The feel of this episode was very enjoyable, with the gang working their special talents together and it was so nice to see them all in the same scenes in much of the show.
I'm very confused about how Dixon was presented in the episode, because I had the impression he was bad, but he came across as quite ethical this time. Plus I didn't care at all for Renard's analogy about killing the pig in terms of campaign strategy; thought it was crass.
