For some reason, Nick’s ability to move on is tightly hinged to Juliette expressing regret for her wrong doing so he can forgive her. I doubt Nick can move on completely until he forgives himself, and he seems to believe forgiving himself requires first forgiving Juliette. But it also seems, even if subconsciously, Nick is looking for reasons not to find closure. Eve told him to ‘accept it’ and Nick told her ‘maybe I can’t’.
Nick appeared taken aback by the idea of working with Eve. Don’t know if I believe he’s completely against the idea, but believe he’ll act like he is while using the time to pursue Juliette. Maybe it’s the Juliette he loves that he wants back. Maybe he just wants back the Juliette he once knew long enough to get a sincere apology so he can move on.
Either way, it looks like the writers will have him waiting a long time.
